The Allard lab recipient of a Templeton foundation grant

We are pleased to announce that our team at UCLA received a $1.1M John Templeton Foundation grant as part of their Science and the Big Questions program. The grant will aim to answer several important and longstanding scientific questions related to heredity: How is the genetic information contained in germ cells altered by an environmental exposure? And can a memory of this exposure be passed on to the subsequent generation? Our team will explore these questions from a unique dual biological and sociological perspective.
